Objective: To have Programmers Notepad show up as a right click option in Windows Explorer like this

To do this,

1. Open regedit

2. Backup the registry

3. Expand HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT

4. Right Click on the * entry

5. Choose New Key

6. Name the Key Shell

7. Right Click on this new Key named Shell and Choose New>Key

8. Name the Key ProgrammersNotepad

9. Right Click on the ProgrammersNotepad key that you just created and Choose New>Key

10. Name the Key command

11. The regedit screen should now look like this:- Well I cant post pictures

12. With the command folder open , double click on the (Default) thing on the right hand side as seen in the screen above.

13. Set the value data field to point to the place where Programmers Notepad was installed.

14. Close Regedit

Thanks, I also have a shell extension in testing that will make this easier and will also work properly for multiple file selections which occasionally do not work properly with the above method.

This will be released for more general testing soon.
