Hi,

Is there any way to add a selection to the text clip?

The only way I’ve seen in the included text clips is to add all the options, like,

$0

What about adding some capability so that those items could be a dropdown selection? Maybe something like:

and then each of the items separated by the | symbol would be part of a selection list.

This is a nice editor, a little rough around the edges, but very nice. The text clip selection would be a big deal at least for me.

Hi Scot,

Currently this is not possible, it’s a nice idea though.

Simon.

Wish I knew the code in my previous post wasn’t going to show up! Is this software BBPRESS? I’ve been thinking of using it for something, but it seems a bit lacking…

Anyway, here’s the dropdown selection idea with the code.

Take something the form clip in the XHTML schema where it could be a post or a get. The stock clip is like this:

<form action=”${1:action}” method=”${2:post}”>

Seems like it wouldn’t be that difficult to give the “post” section a drop down selection for post and get, the clip code could be like this:

<form action=”${1:action}” method=”${2:post|get}”>

Yes it’s bbpress, I’d stay as far away as possible personally – burnt too many times.
