Does programers notepad do codehinting

by codehinting i mean when you type it shows a list of possible methods, objects (functions variables ect), arguments, properties ect in alphabetical order and this list refreshes on each keypress.

If it does how do I turn it on?
I cant find it in the options anywhere

finally
Is it possible to show code hinting from 0 characters?

Is it possible to code hint for multiple languages in the same document (Ie PHP, Javascript CSS and HTML all at the same time)?

Does it code hint dynamic objects (IE variables and functions which you have written yourself within the same document or a linked document)?

Can you make it show only valid properties where appropriate (ie if i type “display:” in a CSS it should only hint properties that can be used with “display:”)?

Hi there,

Yes, PN has support for code hinting although very limited. For example, I know for a fact that for C/C++ and Java, it gives you hints of functions you have in the *same* file you’re working with.

There are also these API files you can create to provide you full code hinting support. PN ships with such API files for PHP and Ruby. You can read these API files in your “schemes” directory to see how they are constructed.

Hope it’s helpful.
