deadimp Member	Is there a way to disable code folding? Just the extra noise on the margin… it gets to me.

jumpfroggy Member	I second this. It’d be great to get that space back and clean up that left gutter, esp. since I never use code folding.

malsup Member	I third this request. Code folding is cool, but I honestly don’t know anyone that uses it. It would be great to remove this clutter w/o losing syntax highlighting.

daat99 Member	I use code folding a lot myself. I would suggest adding a setting to disable it rather than removing it completely.

malsup Member	Yes, sorry – didn’t mean to imply that removing it would be the right thing to do. Just an option to let us reclaim some gutter space.

Arty2 Member	Perhaps if the images used in folding had transparent background or if they could blend with the main window’s background they would appear less obstructive. Currently they’re only in peace when you have a grey background for the line numbers or the text field.
