I’m a multiplatform user. Most of the time I thrive with Linux back|track or Mint, but I’m stuck with Photoshop and CorelDRAW as a graphic designer. And they are stucked with Microsoft … or Apple.
For the past years, I’ve used Bluefish as the preferred editor, because it is crossplatform and convenient. But I stumbled upon pnote last year, and fell in love. This is all I need, in addtition to Ghisler’s “Total Commander” and Skiljan’s “Irfan View”.
Please port this to *nix. I may help, my humble ways.
It’s something I’ve considered many times (particularly given that I don’t really use Windows any more), and I started a porting effort but got only as far as an OSX single-document editor sample before running out of time to work on it.
Given interested developers, it could happen, but I doubt it!
In the mean time PN works well under crossover/wine.
You’re right. I copied the pnote-folder to dev0 on my main computer, and opened pnote.exe with Wine. It works. But for how long? Wine tends to freeze every now and then, and I *hate* emulators and virtual machines. I want the real stuff …
Frequently, I use Borland Delphi, and am familiar with Pascal since object pascal in the eightees. Pnote is obviously written c++, but may I help?
