Add keyboard shortcut to toggle the ‘Show Indentation Guides’ option.
Although the indentation guides are really helpful (I can testify to that), deep level code hierarchies add a lot of indentation guides and thus crowd the work area.

I wouldn’t necessarily be opposed to a keyboard shortcut, but I voted no since this seems like something you wouldn’t want to change often. If things get crowded visually, that might mean that the real solution is to fix the indentation display instead of having to toggle it on/off. Just my thoughts on it, I wouldn’t cry if a shortcut got added.
As long as a hook is available, users could map their own shortcut key. This might be enough, even if there’s no default key mapping.

I think the right solution is to enable the user to set a keyboard shortcut, which probably means exposing the option in the menu – it should really be there as all the other view options are. Please open a feature request:
