Hi,

I'm not seeing the behaviour the same as you, so want to check what version you're running. Please let me know the full version from Help | About.

I've just tested and if I type in a then I see the list including add, so not just "dd".

Thanks.

I'd like to firstly thank those that have made Programmer's Notepad.
It's the software of choice when it comes to reading/editing files of various formats.

But I'm perplexed at the [lack of] intuitiveness/functionality of the inline autocomplete when I use Find.

Usual practise for me, with a variety of software, is press Ctrl-F and type the text I am looking for. If the autocomplete has the text then that's all well and good, if not my input will override/suffice.

but not so with PN.

Right now if I want to search for the word 'add' and I press Crtl-F, then 'a' it offers me a previously searched for word 'Accommodation' and it confuses the issue by displaying only the letters *after* the 'a', ie. 'ccommodation'

if I continue to type 'dd' to complete my desired word 'add' then the suggested word ('accommodation') is erased and replaced with ONLY 'dd', or another word if there's something that autocomplete can suggest that starts with 'd'.

That's the scenario, may I simply ask

How Do I Turn OFF This -Feature- ???

Regards

D
