   Hello,

   I just downloaded and installed the lateset devel version of PN (2.0.7.608) together with PyPN 0.1 plugin. When I extract the plugin into the folder as mentioned I get an error and the program crushes asking me if I want to save the dump into a file.

   I am running windows XP (SP1), but I also have the same problem at home where I run windows XP (SP2).

   Please help!

   Hi, please download an interim build here:

   http://pnotepad.org/files/interim/setup.exe

   Then download pypn-0.3:

   http://pnotepad.org/files/pypn-0.3.zip

   and try that!

   I'll announce pypn-0.3 in the next day or so - been crazy busy!

   Thanks a lot...

   It worked...

   How do I delete a script from the list?
   I used the use as script function from the right click popup menu and then I double clicked the script that appeared which resulted in the script being added many times.. How do I delete a script from the scripts menu?

   This is pretty early software at the moment, the answer to your question is: you don't! I'll get around to preventing multiple additions in a new build soon.

   I currently have python version 2.5 installed and would like to use the PyPN extension, but unfortunately it only seems to work with version 2.4.

   Obviously, I could uninstall 2.5 and go back to 2.4 :| ...but it'd be great if the pyPN plugin would look for and use version 2.4 and above...

   I'll be looking at making it work with Python 2.5, but that will require a different build of the plugin because python extensions hard-link to specific versions of the runtime. As soon as boost python is compatible it should be possible to do this.

   I've got PyPN working with Python 2.5, and haven't encountered any problems.

   Current Boost.Python seems to build fine against 2.5 if you tell it to do so. In my case, I build it with:
   bjam -sPYTHON_VERSION=2.5 -sTOOLS=VC-8_0

   I don't know if anyone is doing 64-bit builds of PN, but it now occurs to me that there may well be a problem with Boost.Python + Python 2.5 + 64-bit builds...

   Thanks for that!

   I don't have a 64-bit machine to test with, so I've done no testing at all with 64 bit builds. I can well imagine that 64-bit builds of PN will have issues let alone the PyPN integration :)

   I'd be interested to know how you're getting on with PyPN - any requests, suggestions, patches?!

    I definitely need to look harder at PyPN and the extension mechanism. So far, I've really just gotten it building and glanced through.

    I have the beginnings of a project build/run system that can do incremental builds (hard-coded for Java at the moment). It's currently implemented as an external tool written in Javascript (and a little batch file). It works okay, but it's not that elegant (for example, it has to open the project file itself and parse it, etc.). So I'm mostly mulling over the idea of replacing that with scripts in PyPN, and considering how best to expose the necessary functionality.

    I think the first thing on my list is probably the ability to work with menus so that I can have a real Build menu that changes state as appropriate.
