Migrating settings from PN 2.0.7 to PN 2.0.8: How?

Hi, I would like to migrate all my settings from a pn 2.0.7 to the pn 2.0.8.

I already found the UserTools.xml of 2.0.7 in
$USER\Anwendungsdaten\Echo Software\PN2 (sth. like applicaton data(?) in en)
and copied it to
$pn\tools\WinAVR.xml
of 2.0.8 and the tools seem to work fine.

But what file will I have to copy to migrate all the syntax highlight, font settings, indentation, tab usage, etc. stuff?

Maybe someone can give me a hint so that I don't need to redo all the stuff I already did for pn 2.0.8.

2.0.8 should work just fine with your settings from 2.0.7 - are you switching to the portable edition?

To move your syntax highlighting settings, move the file UserSettings.xml to your new settings directory.

Hi, thanks.

I copied the UserSettings.xml but that had no effekt, e.g. on Makefile, c- and h-files.

The new version is v2.0.8.718-basie that came along with WinAVR-20081205 distribution of avr-tools et al. OS is MS-W2K SP4.

Maybe the .xml is conflicting with an identically named .ini in the same directory?

Hi, the .xml and .ini can coexist with no problems. Maybe you could search for UserSettings.xml on your drive and see if the new version is storing it somewhere else?

There are just 2 UserSettings.xml in the file system: The original and the copy in ./pn/settings. I removed the ./pn/settings/UserSettings.ini (actually by renaming it) any now it works.

But pn 2.0.8 ignores the workspace file (.pnws) even then saved from within 2.0.8.
So I think it's best to just use 2.0.7 to avoid further trouble.
