Hello,
I'm using PN on a windows machine, and use it to edit remote files on unix machines. The only access to these unix servers I have is ssh (and scp), and - no, I can't install samba there.
I use some shareware tool (called ExpanDrive, if you're interested) which allows me to mount a remote folder as a network drive via ssh, and that works. Alas, it works very slow, esp when opening a new file.
Is there any way (a plugin or something) to open in PN a remote file through ssh/scp without mounting anything? Some editors (e.g. emacs) have this feature, so I think that either is, or should be possible.
I use PN for last 7 years. That's a great software, I'd be happy to be able to keep using it!
