   Hi,

   I've noticed in recent versions of pn, that for some files things don't seem to line up as they should, for example if I have say an assembler file I like to vertically line up
   labels, then opcodes, oprands and finally comments, so that I can scan up and down the file vertically, I tend to tab between the different blocks.

   However it seems that this doesn't seem to work properly as for example the comments though at the same tabstop are often ofset by a little amount, looks like just a couple of pixels, but it makes the display look untidy :(

   PN seems to be be set to use the Lucinda Console 10 point font (which I believe is the default).

   Which shows exactly what the problem is, I have also noticed this when editing some C
   code too, so I don't think it's limited to the Assembler scheme.

   Use tabs instead of spaces.

   Or change style from Bold to e.g. Underline (Tools > Options > Fonts and Colors > Advanced, choose your scheme and then change Styles). You can also change fonts if you want (Tools > Options > Fonts and Colors).

   I suspect the problem is with the bold - not all fixed width fonts are made equal and some are larger with bold/italics enabled where others maintain their widths. It may be that Lucida Console is not a great default font, if you're on Vista+ I'd recommend choosing Consolas instead.

   How many of you use the font Inconsolata? I think this one is a lot better than Consolas. I use it with VIM and Notepad++.
